The second week of class I have learned the role of information literacy. It's the ability to recognize when information is needed and to use the efficient information. I have never heard of information literacy before, only computer literacy. I think I came to college prepared for the most part, but once it started I felt less prepared.
Information literacy can form the basis for lifetime learning. It’s for all levels of education and for all learning environments. Information literacy also helps you master content and have greater control over your learning.
An information literate person could evaluate information and sources critically, access needed information effectively and understand the information.
I think a course in college would help me be information literate. There is so much information to tell what is good and what’s not
